It wasn't my idea of doing it.
It all started when Kenneth PMed me in FB.
Saying that he has this idea of doing a Gentleman Parody Video.
With him wearing his Spiderman Suit in the middle.
Idea given on Tuesday.
We tried to gather up people for the project.
In the end, I only manage to get 3 more people into the group.
Which made us 5 altogether.
We gathered at Kenneth's house on Thursday night.
Showed them few versions of Gentleman video that I have downloaded.
The original MV + The live concert + Wawa academy choreo
At first we try to follow the flow of the melody and move with the MV.
The hips swaying part is easy for them, except Kenneth.
He is way off all the beats and his hips is very stiff.
Everything went messy, so I decided to try doing it with another method.
I try teaching them to count the beat of the song and follow the choreo step by step without the music.
1-2-3-4 ; 5-6-7-8
After repeating few times, they seems to get the beat and the steps already.
After they get used to the beat counting, it's actually hard in the beginning when they wanted to follow the music.
Because the original music is faster than out beat counts.
We dismissed at 11pm.
And back to Kenneth's house on Sunday Afternoon.
Rain was pouring heavily when I went out of the house.
I seriously felt like cancelling the gathering that time.
But what's promised is always a promise.
We gathered at Kenneth's house at around 2.45pm due to the heavy rain.
Kenneth showing off his hips once we entered his house.
His hips movements are better and smoother compared to last Thursday night.
LOL. Not bad. That means he really practice himself at home =)
Practice session starts at 3pm.
We keep repeat the song until everyone is in sync with each other.
With me standing in front of them facing them and pin pointing out each of their mistakes.
After an hour, we decided to try video-ing ourselves.
What is the use if we only do practice but never really test it out?
We actually take three takes for the video.
Which turns out to be quite funny and silly.
This is the last take.
Which is the most sync and serious one compared to the rest of the takes.
I think they all are exhausted already though in the video. LOL.
We keep replay our video for few times.
And laughing together monitoring which part we need to fix and which part is super silly.
I actually like the part where Charlie said he was doing the freestyle facing Kenneth.
And when he looked at Kenneth's face, he cannot stand the hilariousness.
So he straight away turn 180 degree and face the wall to LOL.
Then after that, turn back in front to continue dancing.
HAHAHAHAHA.
The results are not bad for a group of people who doesn't dance.
Especially for Kenneth.
It's a new breakthrough for him to move his body.
What more to ask him swaying his hips in a sexy routine. LOL.
First Day Practice on Thursday Night.
Second Day Practice on Sunday Afternoon.
All those exhausted face and body.
Good job to all =)
Next, we shall do the official parody video with everyone in their full complete outfit =)
