16.07.2011 - Sutera 11th Sunset Charity Run 2011

Safely landed on Kota Kinabalu at 3.35pm.
Had a quick change to my sports attire in the toilet of KKIA, I head straight to Sutera Harbour.

It's only 3.50pm when I arrived at Sutera harbour, so me and mum decided to have a walk around.
And we were obsess in taking pictures here and there.
Mum loves to take photos like me~

We decided to walk into the tennis court.
Food stalls set up by Sutera Harbour kitchen's management and staffs.

VIP's table.

Prizes for tonight's lucky draw.

Finally the aerobic session starts around 4.50pm.
This year's music choices are better than last year's.
The beat of the songs are at the high levels as you can see people of all ages are moving and dancing together.
Aerobic dancer on the stage.

Runners doing the aerobic.

One part of the crowds of 11th Sutera Harbour Sunset Charity Run 2011.

Charlie & Stella.
Me & Charlie.

Charlie & Stella could not get a 7k tee because the stocks have run out during the last 2 weeks before the registration was close.
Instead, the sutera staff gave them each a cap.

The runners are flagged off at 5:17pm as usual.
You can check out the video I took during the flag off at my facebook here >>

Road crowded with runners, making us extremely hard to run, not even jog.

Met someone who was suffering from cramp pain at his leg.
Jude in action for first aid~

Photographers and videographers all up on the Hilux for detailed event photos and videos.

Running towards Wawasan Plaza.
Spot mum while on the way to check point.
The organizer changed this year's check point system, causing a number of runners to take the short cut route during the first half hour of the run.

We are back to the gathering point in an hour.
I was too tired + hungry + muscle unprepared and unfit.
so I've not truly run though the whole journey this year.
Just plain walking and chatting with my friends.

Stella and me at the finishing point with our check point.
The whole journey felt kinda short this year, probably is because I'm with my friends.

We refresh ourselves with some free 100plus cold drink after the run.
I think all of us took more than 3 glasses each. (LOL.)

My mum met few of her colleagues.

Oh yea, even I myself met a lot of familiar faces this year :
First, met Massy and Sharrif.
Then I saw some people from my church.
Paul Lai running with his black singlet?
Aunt Daisy from my church.
I think I saw Wendy, my ex's younger sister. (If I'm not mistaken)
The altar boys and wardens from my church.
Jonathan, the IT supervisor from my office.
(Met tonnes of people today but my photos are so few, Eeeeeeeee.)

The most unexpected person I met today would be Jessica Lien who I had never met for 11 years~
She was my primary school classmate, and the last time I saw her was when I am 12 years old. (LOL.)
We actually chat til I forgot to take a photo with her before she left~ (ARRGH.)

The sunset was super beautiful when we were sitting and resting by Sutera's jetty.
So it's definitely time for photo session~
We all love sunset =)

Charlie and the red crescent members~
I'm not in the group but I knew the members from Charlie =)

Charlie and Stella took a photo on the flag off stage before leaving.

Jjang~~ Law and Bridget show up after Charlie and Stella left.

Bridget always told me that she missed Sutera Harbour 7K Sunset Run all these years through the phone or facebook.
Finally this year she is here, but she didn't took part in the event as she wasn't prepared at all.
Our most memorable one was back in 2004.
Where Me, Bridget, Yvonne, Sarah, Josephine and Vivien all participated, ran, chatted, even sang and danced together along the journey.
Sadly, they only manage to involve themselves for that one and only year.
I will still be waiting for the day where we all will take part in this event together again.

After the lucky draw session ended, we left and I bring them all to Arriva Cafe for our dinner.
Tonight's bill is on me =)

*Ignore my messy hair and sleepy eyes* =.=
I love the atmosphere of the cafe.
The food are awesome and cheap~
But I felt weird when we are there tonight.
Everyone is staring at us mainly I think because both me and mum are wearing the Sutera Harbour tee.

Owh well, as long as we all are not chased out from the cafe, I just wanna eat and enjoy my dinner.
I am so HUNGREHHHHH since 5pm~~~

Sutera Harbour Charity Sunset Run 2011 has put a fullstop.
Looking forward to the 12th one next year =)
