[02.09.2015 ~ 12.09.2015] Early Birthday & Farewell for Mr Oily

Ten more days before Oily flying off to UK again :(
I seriously don't like it, but still I have to control my emotion and deal with it.
Reality sucks, and this year the emo and emptyness struck me for 2 months.
and I thought I have got used to it... guessed not :P

02/09/2015 (Wednesday)
The countdown kicks off with a Japanese Dinner Date.
Haven't had Salmon Sashimi in two months :)
And Oily has been thinking to bring me here for dinner for a long time, so we decided to come today.

Nishiki Japanese Restaurant, Oily and his family's favourite restaurant :)
This is the second time I am here with Oily.

Oily's family are the number one regular customer, until all the restaurant staffs already recognized them very well and are familiar with all of their taste buds. LOL.

There aren't many customers during the weekdays, but Oily said usually the restaurant is full on weekends.

My Favourite! Salmon Sashimi :)
Oily specially requested Salmon Belly for me and OMG this is so delicious they probably serve the best salmon sashimi in town <3 nbsp="" p="">but I think it costs us RM72 for this set of fresh salmon sashimi *gulp*
We were so hungry after that we totally helped ourselves to dig in all the food that came to our table.
I was in foodgasm I totally forgot to take any photos after the Sashimi. Hahaha.

Yums! Definitely a tasty dinner tonight and both of our stomachs were satisfied :)
Highly recommended Nishiki Japanese Restaurant for japanese food lover.

04/09/2015 (Friday)
Earlier on, we actually had a plan to come here together with Ika and her daughter.
Turns out that her daughter is in KL for a period of time, so we decided to come enjoy the cake together for the last time before Oily fly off.

Sutera Harbour Muffinz Deli Cafe, our favourite cake date place :)
We've been here so many times, we plan to change table and seat everytime we are here.
I think we have been seated in all of the corner of this shop, Hahaha!
Probably soon we will be well recognized by the Cafe staffs, or they already have. Hahaha.

 Macaroon Brownie for Oily :)
Sadly, the taste and texture of the cake isn't nice.
Oily said it taste like Christmas Fruit Cake.
LOL, that is not how a brownie is supposed to taste like.

Mango Mousse Cake for me :)
Minus the Chocolate Wrapping on the outer layer of course. Hehe.
Tasted normal only since I don't really enjoy mousse cake.
Kinda disappointed with the cakes tonight cus we had better ones before.

Today is the first time we ordered ourselves a drink.
Milky Bubble Tea. LOL. Haven't had this in ages.
I think I only drink once every year with Oily when he comes back to town.
And surprisingly, this one taste quite good Oily is loving it since it's less sweet than those commercial one outside.

The night ended with rain drops on our noses. Hahaha!
Nevertheless, I still feel like I am dancing romantically under the rain tonight :)

05/09/2015 (Saturday)
The one week countdown kicks off with dinner night with Shariff and Kevin.
Ever since Oily has so much interest with Shariff's Dragon Ball figurine set back in Jan / Feb 2015,
I have decided to buy it as a surprise gift for him on his birthday.
Shariff has been a great assistant helping me to scan around and spot the best figurine set proportional with its affordable price.
When we are all set and prepared for the big annual sale in KK Toys Api-Api centre,
fate showers me with disappointment as the last set of the Dragon Ball figurine was sold out before Shariff's friend manage to go grab it for me.
I have already gave up on preparing such gift for Oily's birthday, just then Shariff spotted another figurine selling in Centre Point 3rd floor.
Immediately he went to check the price and inform to me :)

And then we thought that it would be the best timing to get it for Oily today as his early birthday gift.
I went straight down to Centre Point right after my work today at 1.30pm,
but for goodness sake I was stucked in the massive traffic jam in Inanam - Kolombong for an hour due to the working process of the new flyover + road at the big Kolombong traffic light junction.
I have to skip lunch in the end :(
Upon arriving, we went into the shop and ask for the figurine.
Shariff helped me to check and it's an amazing fine piece, which turns out to be the last in KK.
Oily would be feeling so proud :)
While on the way back home, my car created some weird melody underneath.
I have to drive very slow, afraid that my car would broke down half way in the middle of the road.
Despite with it, I still have to go settle the reservation for tonight, and buy some groceries back home.
I was constantly lying to Oily as he was wondering why am I not home for the whole afternoon, I even came up with silly reasons saying that I need to go to my grandma's house and fetch my mother. LOL.
Initially I planned to prepare some deco for tonight's dinner, but thinking that Oily wouldn't be fancying all those, so I just made a last minute simple Dragon Ball theme table deco for him.

Dinner gathering at Shoney Restaurant at 8:30pm tonight for 4 pax.

The Brothers - Kevin & Shariff

Oily & Me <3 p="">

Blue Gracie Mocktail for me :)

Braised Lamb Cutlet Pasta for me :)

Meatball Pasta for Kev Kev :)

Seafood Aglio Oglio for Oily :)

Braised Lamb Shank with Tomato for Shariff :)

Wefie after the dinner :)
Pardon me my hand is too short I had to cut my face.
One thing I hate being in front of the wefie is because my face would turn out to be huge and flat. Hahaha!

I requested for a second take with Oily holding the phone and the outcome was so much better!
His face will never looked awkward / ugly being at the most front.
Handsome as always no matter which position he is at.
And I looked so much more chic and tiny at the back, hahaha!

No doubt Shoney served big portion and tasty food for their customer.
Everytime I am here, my stomach felt very satisfied :)

We stay seated for a while for some chit chat after the dinner.
Reminiscing about some of the old funny moments when we all met officially as Da-FLOW 3 years ago.
Oily paid for everyone's dinner tonight as a sign of appreciation for the friendship and also to thank Kev Kev for fixing his lappy and mouse problem for the past few days.

Not long after that, I took out a birthday card and hand over to Oily.
Shariff made him read out loud in front of us, and especially Shariff's wish, Oily had to read out loud twice.
I bet he love Shariff's wish the most, HAHAHAHA.

Then we headed out to Shariff's car where the highlight of the night is.
Shariff took the well wrapped gift out from his car and handed over to Oily.
Oily was shocked and happy, he said he never received such big size gift before. LOL.
The three of us looked at each other anticipating for his big reaction when he is going to open the wrapper later.

Oily wanted to take some polaroid photos with all of us.
And we took 6 shots, giving one photo for the each of us :)

When Oily doesn't have the intention to open the gift, we immediately persuade him to open on the spot in front of us.
Oily laughed and was curious why were we so excited about his gift.
He listened and eventually open it in front of us.

He was super excited and happy he shouted vulgar wordings upon seeing the Dragonball-Z word on the box.
It was too spontaneous and funny he left the three of us with wide open eyes as his reaction is something far more than we have prepared ourselves for. LOL.
He was over-joyed just like a happy kid, running around non stop hugging and thanking Shariff and Kev Kev.
and the worst part is no one recorded any video or took any photo of that moment =.=
I missed out the best moment of the day, geez.

Back at home, Oily snap a photo of his gift <3 br="">

This is the table deco I made for Oily.
But I was actually too shy to take it out in Shoney, plus our table was too small for extra piece.
So in the end, I only flash it out on the table right after Oily finished reading his birthday card.

Jjang! This is the master piece and main gift of the day.
Oily said he loved it so much <3 comment-3--="">
Surprise for a Dragonball Fan project done and succeed!
Thank you so much to my partner in crime - Shariff :)
The gift opening moment was priceless it has been added into our history book for a good story and laugh in the future <3 comment-3--="">

06/09/2015 (Sunday)
We always had regular jogging session every weekend nowadays.
It's a healthy routine and I love how we sweat together :)

After months of jogging together, we decided to hit the hill today.
I cannot remember the view I had up on the hill years ago.
I've been up on the hill years ago with my mum but I don't remember seeing any building view like this before. Maybe I went up on the other side of the hill. Hahaha.

Many people walk up the hill too.
It was so tiring we ran out of breath many times while on the way up.
We were so weak we keep stop at the stair path and laughed at each other. LOL.
Even the aunties and uncles can go up faster than us.

A wefie together <3 br=""> Okay I seriously don like my huge flat closed-up face >.<
We were both gasping for air upon reaching the top.

And our sweats are flowing like water tap, hahaha.
Oily said it feel great but he can faint with it. LOL.
Not even our regular 2 rounds of jogging would made us sweat like this!

We went down the hill and decided to order the famous Ah Yap ABC for ourselves.
But sadly, it was sold out and we moved to the stall beside them due to the craving of it.
Prices were similar but the taste was very off. LOL.
Oily just wanna have a sip of those cendol. He loves Cendol :)

The smell of the Fried Kueh Teow beside us is very inviting and seducing,
Oily cannot resist the temptation and ended up buying one for take away.

07/09/2015 (Monday)
Tonight is Movie Date at Oily's house <3 bought="" br="" company="" for="" from="" i="" mooncake="" my="" oily.="" some=""> I love the casing design this year, feels very chinese classy, and it comes in three different colour.
Pink, Blue, Green.
I am going to grab as much of the empty boxes as I can once the mooncake season is over :)

I bought Durian Lotus and Pandan Delight for Oily as they were both Oily's favourite flavours <3>

We are having Avengers : Age of Ultron for tonight's movie schedule.
Oily's family went out right after I arrived, leaving the whole house to just the both of us.
Did not expected this but I love the All-To-Ourselves moment at home.
His house was just too comfortable everytime I came here I don't feel like going home at all.
We love the relaxing and romantic feeling with each other companion under the dimmed light of his house, this is a perfect moment just when I needed it :)
But the movie was so long we both almost fell asleep at the end. Hahaha!

08/09/2015 (Tuesday)
Farewell Dinner night with The Triple-K Sisters <3 comment-3--="">

It's been a while since we all came here for Bak Kut Teh.
Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh is the most famous bak kut teh shop in Kota Kinabalu and it's always crowded nevertheless on weekdays or weekends.

Jjang! These are all we ordered, cost us RM 19 per head for the dinner.
It was so yummy I even had 2 bowls of rice!

A photo of Oily and Bak Kut Teh.
It's an annual routine for him to come here for Bak Kut Teh Dinner as well everytime before he flies back to UK.

After dinner, we head to Zen-Q dessert cafe just beside the restaurant for a second round of chit chatting.
But no photos were taken.

09/09/2015 (Wednesday)
Couples movie night with The Triple-K Sisters and Melvin :)

One of Oily's friend, Melvin decided to join us for our couple movie night outing tonight.
But too bad, we didn't thought of taking any group photos for tonight :(
Missed out another memorable photo again.
It was the premiere of Maze Runner : Scorch Trials tonight and we decided to hit right to the cinema for it.
The movie was good, but it was funny and surprising when the storyline somewhat turned into a zombie featured scene in the middle.
This was actually my first maze runner movie as I missed out the previous one.
The night ended with us discussing about the zombies in the movie XD

10/09/2015 (Thursday)
K-Pop was what brought me and Oily together in the first place :)
We recalled that moment when we found out that we share the same passion and favourite in K-Pop and dance long long time ago.
We would talk, discuss and read so much about K-Pop and korean entertainment stuffs together.
I wondered are we half korean blood or what XD

There is this Korean Restaurant at the Likas Driving Range.
It has changed their name to The Bab's Korea BBQ.
This place has become beautiful with the white and purple theme compared to the last time I was here.
With the white furnitures and purple dazzling lighting.

Been wanted to come to this place for a long time already.
But I always don't have the guts to come here fearing that I would somehow my ex boss who is the owner of this korean restaurant 4 years ago would recognize me.
I never came back after resigning from my part-time job here 4 years ago,
and only have I knew from my friend lately that the owner of this restaurant have changed long time ago.
And it got me curious where have my ex boss went to? Back to Korea?
I still remember the old korean chef who loves to feed me with free korean meal in the kitchen.

We were so shocked and surprised when the waitress started serving us the side dishes.
15 little plates of different dishes as you can see in my photo!
Usually I only received 3-5 side dishes whenever I went to any of the Korean Restaurant.
This is actually the first time I received so many and it took me quite some time to digest the whole idea. LOL.
Oily was surprised as well because we did not plan to eat so much here due to already had our full dinner at home earlier.

Oily ordered for a Kimchi Stew.
The appearance of it was good but the taste was kinda off. LOL.
Oily said it tasted like sour vegetable soup with a bit of spices, and I have to agree with him.
Kimchi Stew don't really taste like this.

I ordered for a Kimchi Pancake :)
But as expected after the Kimchi Stew, it didn't turn out that nice for us as well. LOL.

Maybe it has something to do with the Kimchi I guess.
Either they used a wrong type of vege or the fermented ingredient was a bit off ratio I dunno.
But, next time I'll be back here to try out their BBQ.
Reviews said that they are famous with it :)

A big screen provided at the outdoor restaurant area, and it's playing the latest K-Pop music video on it.
This certainly wasn't here when I was working years ago.
Now, the restaurant owner even had the idea to put up entertainment for their guests.
Definitely a wonderful thought for the guests.

Even if you are not a fan of K-pop, this place is still catch because of the calm environment.
The venue is just in front of the Golf Course, you can actually enjoy watching people golfing while having your meal.
Just that the funny thing is, when the sky is pitch black, I bet even the golfer cannot see where the ball is heading to. HAHAHA.

A photo of Oily watching music video <3>
Me and Oily were sitting there enjoying the K-Pop music video the whole night.
We even became some lousy commentator commenting and discussing on the K-Pop issues. LOL.
There were some koreans sitting at the nearby table, talking and laughing while drinking soju.
Too bad Oily wasn't a fan for korean cuisine, he prefered japanese more.

Sometimes, I wished we were half korean blood because people always felt like we are one. XD

11/09/2015 (Friday)
Second last night of the farewell week :(
Oily said he wanted to accompany me more tonight.
But, we ran out of ideas on where else to hangout, because we wanted to look for a place with less people and a more quiet place.
Sometimes, it gets super awkward and bothersome to bump into familiar faces in mainstream venues. LOL.

We had even randomly drive ourselves to Tanjung Aru because we were both blank headed inside the car.
After nicely parked the car, only came to realize that we don't feel like going down. HAHAHA.
When there is no point visiting Perdana Park which is closing in 30 minutes time....
something suddenly came into our mind.

There is this place we used to went during our first year of dating.
Grace Point. LOLLL.

Cendol Milk for Oily and Liong Fun Milk for me :)
Tonight's bill are on me :)

This place haven't change a single bit since the first time we came here three years ago.

The main reason we loved this place is because it's not mainstream,
we hardly met any familiar faces at all here.
And it's not an everyday thing to have Oily coming to a non-chinese-majority place like this.
Not to be racist though.
We used to come here to date silently in our first year because we were sorta in an underground relationship back then.

Something Oily haven't ate in ages. Satay.
Can't resist the inviting temptation so we ended up order RM10 for this.
The satay is very small in pieces but it was made of pure meat!
Oily said it past his taste buds so OK, accepted :)

We sat and chatted until 10.15pm when the employees are clearing and cleaning the tables, you know they will be closing the place soon.
We decided to head to another place to end the night.

I've always love to sit by the beach or sea.
And our most favourite spot to talk and share heart to heart stories 3 years ago was Sutera Harbour's Beach.
Out of consciousness, Oily had drive us to the Tanjung Lipat parking lot.
Facing the sea view and the night light in front, it felt so calming and soothing.

We continued to sit and chat inside the car with the companion of the amazing night view in front.
It just felt sad to me knowing that I only have another 90 minutes to end this day.
We talked a lot in the car, reminiscing many of the funny moments in our years together.
Oily hugged me silently and I no longer can hold back the tears in my eyes.

6th times in our 3rd year, I still cry whenever Oily is leaving.
I still remember clearly, we both cried while hugging each other when he left for the 1st time in our 1st year.
2nd time he cried in the airport and 3rd time he hold it up to the plane.
Oily was very strong, I never heard him crying anymore after that.
I thought it was always harder for the person who stayed back compared to the person who leaves.
Turns out the impact was actually the same for both.

12/09/2015 (Saturday)
Last night of Farewell.

Lovely blocks all the way from Thailand.
I owe Alicia a big time for these.
These are all actually nano blocks for the Pokemon series.
Alicia somehow spotted it during her trip to Thailand and she happens to share it in our whatsapp group chat to see if any of us are interested in getting it.
GOOD THING SHE SHARED IT!
It only cost RM10 per box. Damn cheap =.=
But yet, I still have to find the missing ones in KK.
And luck just doesn't seem to be on my side this time as the final box is out of stocks and I cannot find any in the other places as well :(
Too bad, I have to owe Oily one. HEHE.

I actually had the idea of wrapping all the blocks up and make it looked cute like this after seeing all the present wrappers on my rack.
I have this weird habit of buying present wrappers whenever I enter any gift shop or stationary shop, and especially Kaison, cus it only cost me RM 0.50 per pcs.
and the fact that I guessed I cannot stand looking at the beautiful colourful papers I just have to lay my hands on them. LOL.
Guess what, I think I have around 30 diff design of present wrappers on my rack believe it or not. LOL.

After my work today, I thought of baking some chocolate chip cookies for Oily as his farewell foodie.
It was actually meant to be his welcome back home foodie as I have bought all the cookie ingredients months ago in May! HAHAHAHA.
But my schedule was too packed back then I don't have the heart to bake at all.

It was my first time baking cookies and knowing that I only have few hours to spare,
I just simply studied some cookies recipe online and headed for the kitchen.

It was an enjoyable process along the way only care about what Oily would thought of my cookies. HAHAHA.
But sadly, due to the lack of experiences and inaccurate recipe method,
my cookies doesn't really stay in shape.
The excessive melted butter causes the dough to be in over watery state.
and as you can see in my photo above, it looked like the dough are somewhat ''melted'' and ''runny'' on the tray when it was being baked.

I was very disappointed because I cannot afford for any mistakes at this point.
But being my first time in baking cookies, I gotta admit I have a lot of space to study and improvise.
I was giving up and had even keep away the prepared container.
Mum who was very supportive, told me not to give up until the last minute because we haven't know how the taste would turn out to be anyway.

SURPRISINGLY, the taste of the cookies turned out to be very positive!
The original chocolate chip cookies taste was there and the texture of the cookies was surprisingly good.
I was super thrilled I hurried took some of the better shaped cookies and store inside my container.
My mum LOLed big time looking at me.

Apart from fulfilling my farewell gift plan,
I too learned that butter cannot be melted in the cookies making process. HAHAHA.
Will keep this lesson in my cooking and booking book.

After dinner and bath, I packed everything into a gift bag.
This was the biggest and heaviest farewell gift bag over the years.
I can already imagine how big Oily's eyes are going to be when he sees this. HAHAHA.

Inside I have packed the nano block gift box + chocolate chip cookies + hazelnut wafer + soy drink + his white sleeping tee + hand-written letter.

Oily's reaction was as expected. HAHAHA.
And I do not know why I never got tired of writing old-fashioned letters to him.
Ever since the first farewell 3 years ago, I've developed this habit of writing letters during his farewell or birthday events.
I actually lost counted how many have I written in the past, sometimes it was on a piece of postcard.

Call me OLD-FASHION but he loves me doing that. HAHAHAHAHA!

Next time, I shall venture into his room and count it.
It made me happy seeing him displaying all my gifts nicely on his table rack inside his room <3>

We ended up watching entertainment show and talking in his living room for an hour.
When we silently looking at each other's eyes, you know it's the exact time to bid farewell for real.

We had a promise back then for not allowing me to send him off at the airport on his farewell day.
Because it would definitely make the condition tougher and worst.
You know how sad the airport scene can always be. LOL.
So for the past years and until this very day, I have never sent him farewell before in the airport.
My farewells were always meant to be one day earlier.

He hugged me for the last time for a very long time in front of his door house.
I told myself not to cry tonight but dang my tears are not listening at all.
Yes, I cried the second time after last night zzzz.

I do not understand why this time I was acting super clingy and sticky over him, I guessed knowing the fact that we wouldn't be able to see each other for the next 9 months is somewhat torturing me :(
Been through it once and it's seriously not pleasant at all :(
With the time differences and our respective schedules, I seriously hate everything about it.
And I have to make sure I am not bothersome him in any way because it would be his final year, the last thing I wanted is to be the reason why he couldn't concentrate in his studies.

Time no longer feels like flying, I felt like they leap like a jumper.
There were seconds that I didn't saw it moved but then at the end of the day, much more than you calculated have gone.
As much as the fact sucks all the time, I am going to continue telling myself that people always say when we are one step closer to farewell, we are one step nearer too to the next reunion.

Officially back to the solo ranger day....
BUT I AM VERY BERRY HAPPY BECAUSE OILY PRAISED MY COOKIES!
HE SAID IT'S BETTER THAN BIDA'S.
HAHAHAHA! YESSS!!
*throws confetti proudly*
