Went home one fine day and found a HyppTv set up box at the house living room.
Apparently mum had accept an upgrade offer from TM for the house internet.
Ever since my parents saw the HyppTV set my uncle has in their house, they have always been interested in having one for our house too.
HyppTv is an IPTV service operated by Telekom Malaysia (TM).
The service is offered to residential and business customers in Malaysia over an optical fiber network via FTTH and VDSL 2, but then was later offered to TM's Streamyx ADSL 2+ customers.
HyppTV also receive five Astro channels.
You are required to do the setup manually at home.
They only provide you with the installation guide + special modem + HyppTV remote control.
By the time you have connected your TV to the white special modem and also to your house wifi / internet cable, it would look something like this.
Not only you can log on to the HyppTV channels to enjoy extra TV channels, you can also connect to your USB portable hard disc to watch downloaded movies / entertainment shows.
Plus, they also provide a section of application which function exactly like your smart phone.
I was amazed by the function. LOL.
And immediately I took out my external hard disc to try out.
I get to watch downloaded Big Bang videos now on my living room TV which I usually will watch on my room PC, yahoo!
Since I hardly watch any TV anymore nowadays, I don't really know what kind of channels are provided for us via HyppTV.
And the fact that I always watch shows / dramas / movies online via my room PC, I leave the TV to my parents.
Reminds me of how often I quarrel with my brother just to choose what channel I can watch on the TV when I was young. hahaha.
